چکیده
Abstract Hop cyst nematode, Heterodera humuli Filipjev, 1934 was found in soil samples collected from hop farms Bushy Park, Tasmania and Merriang, Victoria, Australia. Morphological molecular characteristics were consistent with those described for this species other parts of the world. Novel gene sequences ITS rRNA, 28S rRNA CO1 mtDNA generated cysts compared against H. available on NCBI GenBank database, demonstrating little to no genetic variation between Australian nematode populations regions. This report provides first sequence data Australia reports a significant range extension mainland.

Evaluation of the Resistance of Some Indigenous Wheat Genotypes to Cereal Cyst Nematode, Heterodera Filipjevi
Cereal cyst nematode (CCN) is one of the most deleterious pathogens of cereal crops worldwide including Iran. The species Heterodera filipjevi is widely distributed in the fields of wheat. Growing the resistant cultivars is a suitable environmental friendly and cost-saving procedure for nematode control. In current research, the resistance of 13 indigenous wheat genotypes and seven common ...
متن کاملInvestigations of the Host Range of the Corn Cyst Nematode, Heterodera zeae, from Maryland.
The host range of the corn cyst nematode, Heterodera zeae, recently detected in Maryland, was investigated. A total of 269 plant entries, representing 68 families, 172 genera, and 204 species, was inoculated with cysts or a mixture of eggs and second-stage juveniles of H. zeae. The host range of the Maryland population of H. zeae was limited to plants of the Gramineae and included 11 tribes, 33...
متن کاملThe mitochondrial genome of the soybean cyst nematode, Heterodera glycines.
We sequenced the entire coding region of the mitochondrial genome of Heterodera glycines. The sequence obtained comprised 14.9 kb, with PCR evidence indicating that the entire genome comprised a single, circular molecule of approximately 21-22 kb. The genome is the most T-rich nematode mitochondrial genome reported to date, with T representing over half of all nucleotides on the coding strand. ...
متن کاملOogenesis and Reproduction of the Birch Cyst Nematode, Heterodera betulae.
Cytological study revealed that maturation of oocytes of Heterodera betulae is by regular meiosis and reproduction is by parthenogenesis. Restoration of the somatic chromosome number occurs after telophase II and before egg pronucleus formation, in the absence of a mitotic apparatus through a type of endomitotic division. The haploid chromosome number is 12 (2n = 24) in 95% of the female nemato...
متن کاملThe composition of the cyst wall of the beet cyst-nematode Heterodera schachtii.
1. Cyst walls of the beet cyst-nematode (Heterodera schachtii Schmidt) were obtained by sieving a suspension of crushed cysts; about 15mg of dried cyst walls was obtained from 1000 cysts. 2. The cyst walls contained 68% protein calculated from nitrogen content. Glutamic acid, glycine, proline and hydroxyproline made up about 54% by weight of the amino acids obtained on acid hydrolysis. 3. Minor...
